What a Deal!

        Today several exciting things happened in the life of me. I had a church history test over terms and I feel I did alright, of course that's what I thought last time and I got a C. But I am bound and determined to not let grades get the best of me this semester and rather focus on the more important things. After my church history test I met David Edwards in the CMC who had also taken the test. We discussed how it went and then walked in the tunnel toward the RLC. On our way out we walked past the admission center to which we saw Dylan. We stopped and David want to see how long it would take Dylan to notice us starring at him. We starred for a good 3 min. until I made an incredibly loud, fake sneeze. Why this is significant to my day I do not know but it happened.
        Anyways, fast forward to the part where I spent 2 hours in the library working yet again on my annotative bibliography. This thing has more hours put into it than ANY one assignment i've ever done including my 20 page OT paper. The main reason being is i'm ACTUALLY reading the articles (which are required to be a min of 15 pages) rather than faking it from glancing over it and reading the abstract. My logic is when it comes time to write my 25-30 page research paper for intro to counseling I will have all the important information and quotes highlighted because as I throughly read and annotate each article I highlight the things I feel are important as well as write summaries in the margins. I have 10 annotations complete which leaves 10 more to do by Monday. Needless to say I have read over 300 pages (thus far) of journal articles (scholarly, peer reviewed information) on "At-risk youth". I would like to think I am an expert. ;)
        As I was in the library I realized I needed my flute for band so I sent Erin a text and once again it went to the wrong Erin (Schutte). Anyways I then sent Erin Rudolph a message and she said she would bring my flute. When it came time for band (which immediately follows my intro to counseling class), Erin had forgotten so I quickly ran back to the RLC to get my flute. I was only 4 minutes late so I felt pretty good.
        After band I went back to the library and read 2 more sources and annotated them and then headed off to the Dinning Hall for supper. I sat with AJ, and Dan Sailer. A fight broke out, yes a legit fight, and Melvin (one of the cooks) came over and was yelling "there is no fighting in my dining hall". I thought it was funny that he called it "his" dining hall. The best part (or maybe the worst) was that President Holst and his wife were at a table nearby eating supper with Barrett. Way to represent Concordia. After security came and took away 2 of the 6 guys Amanda called me.
        I had forgotten I agreed to go to the Mall of America with her as she had coupons. I was tired and not excited but I am sure glad I went. At Deb there was a clearance rack with dresses all $10.00 and it was buy one get one 1/2 off. I got three dresses for a total of $15.00!! What a deal!!!

        I am now ready for bed so I can awake for my 8:00am class and have a busy day of classes and field work YAY!
